Assess Future is a government registered 501(c)(3) non profit organization
The mission of Access Future is to provide accessible language learning opportunities to immigrants in NYC.
We offer a Summer Intern Program for those who are interested in helping us execute our mission, and we are currently in need of volunteers. Volunteers will participate in virtual meetings and learn how to become teacher assistants (TAs).
The Teaching Assistance Team of Access Future is the department that directly interacts with Asian immigrants learning English as their second language. The Teaching Assistance Team prepares class material for Friday’s virtual classes and Saturday’s in-person sessions. The TA Team also creates review forms and recordings to aid students in improving their pronunciation and to expand the students’ knowledge of American customs. The team engages students in learning new vocabulary and sentences they will encounter in their daily lives, all while giving students the chance to discover more about American culture. The core values of the team is to reduce inequity and provide all backgrounds with better job and government assistance opportunities.
The Data Management Team of Access Future works to build a strategy team that can apply different frameworks and methods with data and use it to benefit the program. The team takes insights and inspirations from other ongoing programs to lay out a data-focused roadmap and gain competitive advantages in public service and language education. With weekly assigned readings, assignments, and meetings to gather all the work done over the week, the data management team builds an efficient strategy to get work done on time while also gaining more data, training, and knowledge to increase the quality of the work.
The PR & Marketing Team of Access Future strives to connect with Asian immigrants to assist them with the English language and other benefits. Our goal is to ensure the Teaching Assistance Team always has new students to teach. The Marketing Team also works on formatting and improving the Access Future Website, as well as updating viewers about news pertaining to Access Future’s events, workshops, and classes. The website includes a Chinese version of the page, providing ease of access for those who are not familiar with the English language. Members of the Marketing Team also update the program’s social media, such as Facebook and Instagram. This keeps followers up to date with the various events of Access Future. With the PR & Marketing Team’s suggestions and work, online platforms stay updated, and more people are able to access the opportunities that can aid them in finding future success.
